A young verger helped Iris Wildthyme and Panda solve the haunting of the cathedral. He wore a cassock.

Sometime before he met Iris and Panda, he had received a History of Art degree.
After a paranormal experience, the verger left the cathedral to see the Celestial Omnibus appear outside, and Iris persuades him to board the bus, where she allows him to spend the night.
The verger would show Iris and Panda around the cathedral, aiding them so that they could figure out what was haunting the cathedral. (PROSE: Iris Wildthyme and the Unholy Ghost)

The verger's name was never revealed in Iris Wildthyme and the Unholy Ghost, and the name "verger" wasn't even capitalised. In a meta joke, Panda mentioned that he couldn't remember his name.
