Walters, along with Davis, was Arden's assistant at Brittanicus Base in 5000. They were outside setting up a seismograph probe when he discovered the body of the Ice Warrior Varga in the glacier and dubbed it an "ice warrior".
When Elric Penley and Jamie McCrimmon tried to argue with Leader Clent, Walters shot them and took them to the medical bay and sent guards to watch them.
When the Ice Warriors started shooting at the base, Walters lost his nerve. He tried to smash the computer but was shot by Jan Garrett and left unconscious where he fell. Three Ice Warriors, led by Varga, invaded the control room. Walters recovered consciousness and tried to shoot Varga. Before he could do so, he was shot and killed by one of Varga's Ice Warriors.
