Westport pier was the pier from which, following the intervention of the Trickster, thirteen-year-old Sarah Jane Smith fell into the sea and drowned. The event was witnessed by Andrea Yates. Sarah Jane's death on 13 July 1964 began a new world which only came to an end when Andrea revoked her deal with the Trickster. (TV: Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane?)
