Whale (Vampire Science)

A species of animals described by the Eighth Doctor as whales (in reference to the similar Earth animal of that name) existed on the planet of the Sea serpents, which was the fourth planet orbiting an unnamed red star visible from Earth in the 20th century.

As the Eighth Doctor recounted to Carolyn McConnell in 1975, the Sea serpents worshipped the whales as gods. Though aware that the whales were unintelligent animals, they believed that their low intelligence was due to the fact that they were so "enlightened" as to no longer need higher intelligence.
