Xanara Pasam, (PROSE: Night of the Yssgaroth [+]Loading...["Night of the Yssgaroth (novel)"]) or simply Xana, was an enigmatic agent of SIGNET in the early 21st century (PROSE: Hervoken Halloween [+]Loading...["Hervoken Halloween (short story)"]) who, unbeknownst to all but team leader Charles Zoltan, was actually a wanted intergalactic fugitive, a member of the Halshai species. Her true appearance was humanoid but clearly unearthly, and she wore a holographic transmitter to pass for a human. Due to this dangerous secret, (PROSE: Night of the Yssgaroth [+]Loading...["Night of the Yssgaroth (novel)"]) she had a "penchant for sulking in the shadows". Early life and joining SIGNET[[edit] | [edit source]]

This section's awfully stubby.

Information from Xana's First Day, alongside more detailed coverage of Night of the Yssgaroth, needs to be added.

A fugitive, Xana came to Earth due to being wanted across the Galaxy. There, she came across Charles Zoltan, whose familiarity with aliens allowed him to easily through her bootleg holographic disguise. He tried to befriend her, to her initial bemusement and irritation. She ended up proving herself helping Zoltan's organisation SIGNET repel an Yssgaroth incursion orchestrated by the elder vampire Augustus Grange. Shortly after she joined, Charles drove her to a coffee shop for a surprise which turned out to be a tea-date with Claire, an old woman whom Xana had met during the Yssgaroth crisis, greatly enjoying her company which made her feel unusually safe. Charles explained that he felt it would help Xana cope to have a friend who was uninvolved with SIGNET. (PROSE: Coda [+]Loading...["Coda (short story)"])

As a SIGNET operative[[edit] | [edit source]]

Shortly before Halloween, she, Jae-Sun and Aoife Fitzgerald were told by Charles that SIGNET's software had been picking up psychic energy patterns all over York. Jae-Sun briefly worried that the Yssgaroth was back until told otherwise by Charles. He participated in the day-long search for the patterns' source, which was fruitless; it was only in the evening that Aoife, Charles and Xana discovered the true source of the disturbance, which had been sitting in Aoife's own house the whole time in the form of an innocuous jack-o'-lantern which had been left to her daughter Norah, and which was actually the severed head of a Hervoken.
