Zaan

The Zaan were a species of green humanoid creatures with spiky backs and razor sharp teeth. They were also capable of shapeshifting.

The Zaan were after a fabled and extremely dangerous weapon known as the Vortex Cannon, which was hidden by an ancient civilisation. Having one of their own shapeshift into professor Dinsdale Landen of the Interplanetary Archaeological Institute, and arranged an expedition with other scientists, including the Tenth Doctor, to some ruins on Brendock Seven (COMIC: Head Start)
