Zintorra

Zintorra was the fourth planet of Beta Hydri's star system. It was extremely Earth-like, being described as "in many ways a twin" to Earth; however, no intelligent life had evolved there by the time it was colonised by a "Third Zone scientific expedition" in the year 72640.

The planet went on to become a battleground in the Rutan-Sontaran War, with the Third Zone colonists caught in the middle. They appealed to Gallifrey for help. (GAME: "Player's Handout" ^[+]Part of The Legions of Death, Loading...{"namedpart":"Player's Handout","1":"The Legions of Death (game)"}) These events were used by the War Chief as the basis of an illusory adventures when he captured time travellers who were interfering with his plans in 43 AD Britain, and ran them through his mind-altering processing machines. They were made to believe that they were on Sontaran-occupied Zintorra, and that the Doctor had appealed to them for help in freeing his comrade Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart from a Sontaran war camp. In fact, they were still in ancient Britain, and would be abducting Emperor Claudius from a Roman camp, thus aiding the War Chief's plan to take control of the Roman Empire by brainwashing Claudius.
