- 1935 - Verity Lambert, the first producer of Doctor Who, was born.

- 1946 - Howard Attfield (Geoff Noble in TV: The Runaway Bride) was born.
- 1954 - Arthur Smith (Clarrie in AUDIO: The Kingmaker) was born.
- 1963 - The Programme Review board decided to repeat the first episode of TV: An Unearthly Child immediately before the second episode to gain more viewers. This worked, with ratings of 6 million compared to the original broadcast's 4.4 million.[source needed]
