Earth on [[Valentine's Day]] in [[2013]] and [[Eleventh Doctor|the Doctor]] realises that something is not right. All around him and [[Decky Flamboon]] are loved up couples distracted by the world around them. A heart tipped arrow is fired at them but missing its target embeds itself into the TARDIS. A handsome winged creature with a bow and arrows appears and identifies himself as [[Cupid]] - the god of love and son of [[Venus]] here to spread romance and love as his gift to the Earth. The Doctor doesn’t believe him and inspecting the arrow from the TARDIS finds it laced with a mind controlling drug Porcheen neurotoxins. Firing another shot at the Doctor the arrow misses and strikes Decky who falls to the floor. Angry, the Doctor suspects a shimmer disguise and using his [[sonic screwdriver]] the creature is revealed to be an [[Ameteli]]. The large, red, ugly and very smelly, winged Ameteli explains how he intended to distract the humans with the gift of love so that he could plunder the planet of its resources. As he moves in on the Doctor, Decky leaps up and returns the arrow he took and caught with his tail, aiming squarely at the creature. With love now on his mind, Ameteli is shown a projection by the Doctor of the planet Mascoda 6, instantly falls in love with it and flies off long gone by the time the love effect wears off in the humans.

Love is in the Air is a Doctor Who Adventures comic strip published in 2013.

Summary

Earth on Valentine's Day in 2013 and the Doctor realises that something is not right. All around him and Decky Flamboon are loved up couples distracted by the world around them.
