The ruined state of the park. (TV: Nightmare in Silver)

Hedgewick’s World of Wonders was once the greatest theme park in the galaxy, but became a dilapidated home to a shabby showman, a chess-playing dwarf and a dysfunctional army platoon. According to its map, the park contained at least the Spacey Zoomer Ride, a beach, a "water world", a "big wheel", a garden, a boating lake, a port, a hotel, "Fireball", "the Giant Cauldron", "Eyeball Terror", "Mushroom Terror" and "Natty Longshoe's Comical Castle".

The platoon, led by Captain Alice Ferrin, was sent there as punishment for their disobedience. The day that the Eleventh Doctor, Clara Oswald, Angie Maitland and Artie Maitland arrived there, a newly-upgraded race of Cybermen invaded. When the army of Cybermen became impossible to eradicate through direct combat, the planet was destroyed under the orders of the Emperor of the Universe. Through voice-command, he armed a detonator to implode the planet housing Hedgewick's World of Wonders. This act wiped out nearly all of the Cybermen, but at least one Cybermite survived the planet-wide destruction and persisted in outer space. (TV: Nightmare in Silver)
