On 20 July, a number of things set in or relevant to the Doctor Who universe were released or published.
- 1968 - Part three of TV Comic story Car of the Century was first published.
- 1984 - The Awakening is repeated as a 50-minute compilation. This was later used, along with the still existing 16mm Colour Film of the location sequences, to create a new transmission master 625 line PAL Colour Videotape of Part One; the original having been accidentally badly scratched during a duplication session in 1987.
- 1995 - Anthology Decalog 2: Lost Property was first published by Virgin Books.
- 1995 - Sky Pirates! and The Sorcerer's Apprentice were first published by Virgin Books.
- 1996 - Part eight of Radio Times comic story Dreadnought was first published.
- 2012 - Cardiff's version of the Doctor Who Experience exhibition was opened.
