On 4 July, a number of things set in or relevant to the Doctor Who universe were released or published.
- 1964 - "Hidden Danger" was scheduled to air on BBC1, but was postponed to the 11th due to an extended episode of Grandstand airing in the same time slot.
- 1970 - Part four of the TV Comic story The Fishmen of Carpantha was published.
- 1994 - The Visitation and Black Orchid were released together on VHS, as was Destiny of the Daleks.
- 1996 - DWM 241 was published by Marvel Comics.
- 2007 - Robot was released on Region 4 DVD.
- 2008 - The Baktek Illusion was published online.
- 2013 - The audiobook version of Doctor Who and the Leisure Hive was released by BBC Audio.

- Broken was released by Big Finish Productions.
- Ghost Light was published by Obverse Books.
- 2018 - The Seventh Doctor #2 was published by Titan Comics.
- 2019
- The audiobook version of Doctor Who and the Enemy of the World and Doctor Who at the BBC Volume 9: Happy Anniversary were released by BBC Audio.
- Are You as Clever as a Time Lord? was published by BBC Children's Books.
- 2023 - The universe's greatest assassin has just 24 hours to escape Death and find the Doctor - where will Doom's Day take her next? was released by the BBC on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
- 2024 - Torchwood Soho: Ascension was released by Big Finish.
