The Golem of Prague was created in the 16th century. When the Mavora Collective were spreading chaos through Prague, a sphere of psychic metal fell from the sky. Rabbi Judah Loew Ben Bezalel used some of it to create The Sorrows of Prague, a book in which he imprisoned the Collective. The rest of the sphere merged with the mind of Gerhard Frankel, killing his body and creating the Golem.
In 1989, the Golem was destroyed while fighting the Mavoran Queen. The sphere influenced Heather Lake to touch it, killing her and transforming her into the new Golem. It defeated the Collective, which had been freed from The Sorrows of Prague by Yuri Azarov. (COMIC: The Broken Man)
