Charles Moore Wedderburn was a 20th century Earth botanist, and a friend of Professor Jeremy Winterdawn. He found the metahedron in the Amazon and brought it back with him to England, along with some mutated vampiric orchids. After Gabriel and Tanith adjusted Sandra Winterdawn's brain, turning her insane, she killed Wedderburn. She then fed his body to his orchids. (PROSE: Falls the Shadow)

He was also an author, having written The Trail of the Black Orchid: A botanical and zoological guide to the journeys of George Cranleigh. (TV: Black Orchid)
