Helina Vaiq was the station co-ordinator in the 24th century for Space Station Q4.
Vaiq was born on the Abema colony, where she grew up. Weekly food shipments did not always make it, so the colonists were sometimes forced to resort to cannibalism to survive.
She was aged to death along with all other personnel on the station when the Garvond attacked it. The Seventh Doctor, Ace and Bernice Summerfield saw the bodies, but the Doctor was transported back in time a week before the attack. She questioned the Doctor, who convinced her he was telling the truth about what was going to happen. He was able to stop the Garvond and prevent its attack on the station, saving the lives of many of those who had originally died, including her. (PROSE: The Dimension Riders)
