- Queen Victoria dies on the Isle of Wight. A comment by the Fourth Doctor leads Sarah Jane Smith to believe that the queen was one of his companions, though he was more probably referring to Victoria Waterfield. The Doctor, however, was present at Victoria's coronation. (DW: Pyramids of Mars, The Curse of Peladon) A later incarnation also shared an adventure with the Queen involving The Host, which resulted in both he and Rose Tyler being knighted and banished from Great Britain, leading to Queen Victoria establishing the Torchwood Institute.
