Private Hawkins was a British Army soldier assigned to UNIT.
In 1970, he was detailed to Captain Jimmy Munro's expedition to find crashed meteors in Oxley Woods. A discovered piece of one meteor was delivered to Munro at Ashbridge Cottage Hospital, where Hawkins stood guard over it. Munro directed him to carry it to Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart's car.
