Time, Love and TARDIS was a Brief Encounter short story published in Doctor Who Magazine 189. Uniquely, it featured the Doctor's TARDIS as the main character of the story and revealed that it could talk to other TARDISES telepathically.
Summary
While the Doctor is talking with a Time Lord, his TARDIS and a replacement TARDIS have a telepathic conversation about whether Time Lords love their TARDISes. The Doctor's TARDIS believes her master loves her, but the replacement TARDIS isn't so sure. However, although the Doctor is offered the replacement TARDIS, he decides to keep his own TARDIS — apparently confirming what she has believed.

- The replacement TARDIS is in the form of a plain white column.
Continuity
- The Doctor is currently working for the Time Lords. (PROSE: World Game)
