Introduction to the Night was a multi-part story that sandwiched Doctor Who Night of 1999. It featured Tom Baker as a future Doctor.
His being the Doctor was hinted at when he said, "When I was Paul McGann", and recalling the Doctor's adventures as well as inhabiting his TARDIS.

The Doctor introduces an evening of pure entertainment.
