Summary

Running away from home, a young woman seeks out peddlers of illicit technology in the hope of permanently changing her imago, specifically in order to give herself wings. Although she fails to purchase a permanent change, she does by virtue of coincidence end up in the company of travellers, seeking a mythic lost land. Travellers who may be in possession of exactly what she was really after all along...
