Elizabeth Woodville was the wife of Edward IV, the Queen of England from the early 1460s until 9 April 1483, and therefore a major player in the Wars of the Roses. Her sons, the eldest of which was the uncrowned Edward V, were collectively known as "the Princes in the Tower". After the death of her husband, her brother-in-law Richard III of England locked them away in the Tower of London, and their ultimate fate was an historical mystery that the Fifth Doctor — and for about two years, Peri and Erimem — investigated. (AUDIO: The Kingmaker)
