Kay Patrick appeared in two Doctor Who television stories: as Poppaea in The Romans and Flower in The Savages.
Kay's career started out in front of the cameras, appearing in Z-Cars, No Hiding Place and The First Churchills, but Kay soon moved behind the cameras, directing for soaps such as Jupiter Moon, Emmerdale and EastEnders. In later years, she produced Crossroads and Coronation Street. However, her career in the 21st century has mainly focused on directing over two hundred episodes of Coronation Street.
