Lord Patrex was a True Lord leader from southern Gallifrey in an alternate timeline where the Eternal War was still being fought, the Vampires were winning and Rassilon constructed a barrier to block out the light of the moons and stars. He died in battle beside the Lady Magistrix Borusa.
Three decades later, Borusa encountered the travellers Narvin, Leela and Romana from another Gallifrey. When Narvin claimed they were civilian refugees from southern Gallifrey, she asked him for updates of Patrex' status as a test. Narvin's ignorance of the real Patrex' fate and assertion that Patrex died recently confirmed her suspicion that the trio were not what they claimed to be. (AUDIO: Annihilation)
