Little Nanna was Paul Magrs' grandmother, on his father's side. Paul was very fond of her. She was married to her husband.

Biography

Little Nanna used to sing Shirley Bassey songs in men's clubs up the north-east of England in the 1970s.

She and Paul were close, but after Paul severed contact with his father, who was against Paul beeing queer, Little Nanna refused to talk to Paul. She died in 1996, and when Paul's father told him the news over a phone call. After Paul refused to go to the funeral, Paul's father called him heartless, as well telling him that he was "a queer [who] hadn't grown up right". (PROSE: The Story of Fester Cat)
