She instructed Kylex-12 to search the Earth for other extra-terrestrial visitors. In 1982, he began dating Tegan Jovanka when he sensed a temporal energy signature, which were harmless exotic particles and a side effect of TARDIS travel, after the Fifth Doctor left her at Heathrow Airport.
