The Book of Predictions was a book of prophetic writings compiled by the Dals. The book was banned by the Council of Twelve and most copies were publicly burnt. However, Davros kept an old copy his family had owned for generations. It contained a prophecy that men would become gods. In the Dal language, the final word of the prophecy was pronounced "Dal-ek".
