Vallance tried to kill Flannigan but accidentally shot and killed Laleham instead. Flannigan was then [[Hypnosis|hypnotised]] by the Cybermen.
Flannigan told [[Zoe Heriot]] and [[Gemma Corwyn]] where in the [[medical section]] the [[Second Doctor]] and [[Jamie McCrimmon]] were confined and prevented Jamie from leaving when he and Zoe heard [[Kemel Rudkin]]'s cry. Sean Flannigan (alternatively spelt Flanagan) was a security guard and technician aboard the Wheel.

Sean Flannigan, (TV: The Wheel in Space) alternatively spelt Flanagan, (PROSE: The Wheel in Space) was of Irish origin (TV: The Wheel in Space) and was an accomplished brawler. (PROSE: The Wheel in Space) By 2000, (TV: The Mind Robber; AUDIO: Prison in Space) 2079 (AUDIO: The Dying Light) or later, (PROSE: The Indestructible Man) he was working on the Wheel as a security guard and technician. (PROSE: The Wheel in Space)

Flannigan told Zoe Heriot and Gemma Corwyn where in the medical section the Second Doctor and Jamie McCrimmon were confined and prevented Jamie from leaving when he and Zoe heard Kemel Rudkin's cry.
