A peacoat was an item of clothing famous for use by the US Navy and the Kriegsmarine during World War II.
The Eighth Doctor wore a double breast peacoat of navy leather with anchor symbols on its gold buttons with an alabaster t-shirt. (AUDIO: Fugitives, etc.)
The Ninth Doctor wore a double breast peacoat of black leather (TV: Rose, The End of the World, Aliens of London/World War Three, Dalek, etc.) right up to his death. (TV: Parting of the Ways)
Bill Potts wears a navy blue peacoat. (TV: The Lie of the Land)
