Omega One was a base used by the Time Lords during the Last Great Time War.

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

During the Last Great Time War, Omega One was used by the Time Lords to combat a Dalek time fleet preparing to commence a final assault on Gallifrey. To do so, the Time Destructor was situated on the base, which would be used to wipe out the Dalek fleet once the base was positioned to the space-time coordinates of the fleet's path. However, as the Time Destructor required a manual detonation, at least one Time Lord had to remain on Omega One to detonate the weapon in an act of self-sacrifice; although Bennus and Arverton were seemingly selected at random to use the Time Destructor, (AUDIO: The Innocent) Cardinal Ollistra secretly ensured that the duo were selected, desiring to eliminate them for being secret followers of Seratrix. (AUDIO: The Heart of the Battle)

As the Dalek time fleet prepared to reach Gallifrey, onboard Omega One, Bennus and Arverton powered up the Time Destructor and communicated with Ollistra at Gallifrey High Command; the Cardinal saluted them before cutting off the signal. The Dalek fleet then approached and, registering Omega One as of non-Time Lord origin, aggressively scanned the base with Dalek scan beams in an attempt to destroy the base, and ordered Bennus and Arverton to identify themselves. The Doctor's TARDIS then materialised on Omega One, having circumvented the base's transduction barrier, and the War Doctor emerged, intending to replace Bennus and Arverton and use the Time Destructor himself; the Doctor knew that the duo had not been selected at random, and believed that he might have a better chance at surviving the Time Destructor's detonation, although the Doctor did acknowledge that he may have simply decided to do so because he was too tired of the Time War to keep on fighting. After persuading Bennus and Arverton to escape in their own TARDIS, the Doctor received a communication from the Dalek time fleet once again ordering Omega One to identify, before he detonated the Time Destructor, destroying the Dalek time fleet; the Doctor barely escaped in his TARDIS, the detonation of the Time Destructor causing his ship to crash on Keska.

Following the Dalek time fleet's destruction, Bennus and Arverton reported to Ollistra at her office on Gallifrey, where the Cardinal furiously learned of the duo's retreat from Omega One and the apparent death of the Doctor. (AUDIO: The Innocent) Meanwhile, the Daleks recovered from the loss of their time fleet by commencing Operation Thousand Worlds. (AUDIO: The Innocent, The Thousand Worlds)
