In their natural form their skin was red and jelly-like, lacking hair, and their build was dissimilar to that of a human. They didn't divorce. (AUDIO: The Condemned)

In the early 21st century, the Shinx were manipulated by the Time Lord Celestial Intervention Agency into hiring Hulbert Logistics and invading Lonsis, the newly adopted home planet of the Cybermen. This ended in 2006, when The Eighth Doctor interfered with one of Hulbert's combat machines, not knowing they were fighting the Cybermen.
