On 12 December, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1962 - Sydney Newman officially began his tenure as Head of Drama at the British Broadcasting Corporation, though he had accepted the position around a year earlier.
- 1966 - The BBC Audience Research Dept. filed an Audience Research Report on The Power of the Daleks Episode 3, reporting that satisfaction in the episode ranked at 44% with response to new Doctor Patrick Troughton being particularly mixed.[1]
- 1966 - Location filming for The Underwater Menace began at Winspit Quarry. (TCH 9)
- 2005 - A press release was issued for the interactive adventure Attack of the Graske. (DWMSE 14)
- 2011 - Recording for Dominion took place at The Moat Studios.
- 2012 - Recording for Eldrad Must Die! took place at The Moat Studios.
- 2017 - Recording for Jago & Litefoot Forever took place.
- 2019 - Recording for Stranded 1 took place.
