The Sorvix were carnivorous humanoids native to Sorva. (AUDIO: Superiority Complex) They had a prince, (AUDIO: Superiority Complex) and Ro-Jedda was the leader of the Sorvix. (AUDIO: Aliens & Sex & Chips & Gravy) During the 2010s the Sorvix occupied Cardiff, coming into frequent conflict with Torchwood. (AUDIO: Aliens Among Us)
Biology
The Sorvix appeared human, save for additional huge mouths on their back. It took them a while to adapt to living conditions on Earth, requiring them to resort to nearby life support systems in the meantime.
The Sorvix could devour entire humans, however could also eat more precise targets such as a woman's tumour without harming her otherwise.
Sorvix were capable of drinking much greater volumes of alcohol than humans and could become high by taking aspirin. Aspirin addiction was a common enough problem they established a rehabilitation centre for addicts. (AUDIO: Aliens & Sex & Chips & Gravy)
Sorvix were vulnerable to bullets, (AUDIO: Changes Everything) and high water temperatures. (AUDIO: Superiority Complex)
History
The Sorvix came to Cardiff via the Rift. They were fleeing their old God, who had let them down, and in search of a new one. (AUDIO: Aliens & Sex & Chips & Gravy) Through 3Sol, they infiltrated Cardiff and disrupted the city's transport connections to the rest of the country. (AUDIO: Changes Everything) The Mayor of Cardiff was forced to comply with their demands, referring to them as "visitors' protocols". (AUDIO: Aliens & Sex & Chips & Gravy)
Ro-Jedda kept Orr — a sexual psychomorph created on Sorva — as a slave before gifting them to a Vincent Parry, a property developer who agreed to work for the Sorvix. (AUDIO: Orr) When Tyler Steele began looking into 3Sol, Vorsun lured him to the Refugee Crisis Centre to die in a bombing they'd arranged, however he was rescued by Torchwood. 3Sol subsequently bombed the Refugee Centre again at a subsequent vigil. Tyler tracked Vorsun down and confronted her, aided by Jack Harkness. She held numerous hostages at gunpoint but was eventually shot and killed by Jack. (AUDIO: Changes Everything) Vincent Parry was instructed to build luxury flats for the Sorvix on the site of the ruined Refugee Centre. (AUDIO: Orr)
Due to her vulnerability after arriving through the Rift, Ro-Jedda arranged for her daughter Madrigal to marry Osian, who belonged to a rival Sorvix family. When Madrigal's friend Quenel spoke out, Ro-Jedda had her confined her to a rehabilitation centre for Sorvix addicted to aspirin. Torchwood investigated Madrigal's hen party and helped her escape from her mother's security, in return for information on the Sorvix. After helping her free Quenel, Mr Colchester manipulated Madrigal into deciding to follow her mother's orders, in order to ensure their survival, and other nearby civilians, from security forces hunting them down. (AUDIO: Aliens & Sex & Chips & Gravy)
After he began failing to follow orders, a Sorvix assassin was sent to silence Vincent Parry. The assassin killed him however Orr was saved by Torchwood. After their explosive collar failed, Orr joined Torchwood. (AUDIO: Orr)
The Sorvix built Cardiff Bay Intelligent Hotel and Spa to give the Sorvix and other allied alien races a place to stay without the necessity of being bothered by humans. The Hotel became a target for anti-alien protests by humans. However, the Hotel went rogue and started to kill the rest of the guests, which Ro-Jedda pressured the Mayor to investigate. The Hotel was shut down by Torchwood.
When he began threatening to go public about the Sorvix following the deaths of protesters at the hotel, Ro-Jedda tricked the Mayor into a sealed room where she ate him, telling his aide Tyler Steele to announce that he was on "a long sick day" and she was taking over. (AUDIO: Superiority Complex) She later asked Tyler to get Torchwood to investigate terrorists targeting Sorvix, making a deal for them to do so in return for the Sorvix providing a cure for an alien parasite, which was spreading from vent scrits which had come to Earth with them. (AUDIO: Love Rat)
The Sorvix were unable to takeover the Ritz Tower, which Tyler Steele claimed was driving them mad. He offered Mr Colchester that if he enabled the Sorvix to take it over, he and his husband would be allowed to remain living there. At this time a group of hungry Sorvix took some pensioners hostage. (AUDIO: A Kill to a View)
Ro-Jedda setup Deliverables to take control of the Rift. After it was shutdown by Torchwood with Tyler's help, she ate two members of Women's Institute in front of him to prove how disposable he was. (AUDIO: Zero Hour)
Planning to discredit the police force, Ro-Jedda had Professor Helen White hypnotise a number of officers to stir up their aggression with quantum splices. The technology proved effective after Andy Davidson shot an unarmed refugee, however the technology was discovered by Torchwood and Red Doors killed Professor White, preventing Ro-Jedda's final gambit to turn the police on protestors rallying against Andy. Breaking into her office, Ng threatened to publicly expose Ro-Jedda's scheme, however Jack insisted on a compromise instead to prevent chaos, allowing her to put 3Sol in charge of policing as she'd intended without bloodshed. (AUDIO: The Empty Hand)
The Sorvix fled Earth after the arrival of their God. Ro-Jedda was imprisoned and later shot by Yvonne Hartman. (AUDIO: Future Pain) Their presence on Earth was covered up by Tyler Steele, who manipulated the conspiracy theorist Brent Hayden. (AUDIO: The Man Who Destroyed Torchwood)
