Spiral Furl was an event in the first year of the Last Great Time War that the Time Lord Harlan Castellos was involved in. His TARDIS was killed during the Spiral Furl, yet he managed to turn her death into an electromagnetic extinction event, which caught a number of Daleks in its blast. These Daleks were left to fall to the ground, with the General later saying it was as if they were falling like hail, but this loss only increased the hatred the rest of the Dalek Empire felt towards the Time Lords, ensuring the conflict carried on. (PROSE: The Third Wise Man)
