Lee Harvey Oswald

Lee Harvey Oswald was an American man whom history recorded as being responsible for the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas on 22 November 1963. (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy) Sources agreed that Oswald had not been wholly responsible for the assassination; one held that his biography and the assassination was engineered by the Time Lord Designer Berenyi (PROSE: Untitled) while another claimed that the fatal shot was taken by James Stevens in order to stop a plot by the Master that could have resulted in nuclear war. (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy)

Berenyi spent a lot of her time on her programming of Oswald. She had him wear a brown shirt for the assassination, of which the connotations were clear, as well as making him the chairman of the Fair Play For Cuba committee, giving him a Russian wife and even having him defect a few years prior. She believed that the government would "love him" in this regard. (PROSE: Untitled)

According to another account, Oswald was an innocent employee of the Texas School Book Depository. On the day of the assassination, he found the mentally programmed Francis Cleary with a rifle and fought him for control of the weapon. The pair scuffled and Oswald managed to tear Cleary's shirt to reveal a Soviet uniform underneath. He staggered backwards in shock which allowed Clearly to swing the butt of the rifle through the air and into Oswald's head, rendering him unconscious. (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy)

According to the account featuring Berenyi, as the presidential motorcade approached she handed Oswald the rifle, who then loaded it in preperation. Oswald fired three shots, killing Kennedy, and then put the gun down and ran down the stairs as his programming instructed him to. (PROSE: Untitled) According to the account featuring Stevens and Clearly, Stevens roused Oswald into consciousness after he had killed Kennedy. A minute or two later he stumbled down the stairs, all while proclaiming his innocence. (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy)

Oswald was spotted by a policeman and was later arrested whilst visiting a cinema. (PROSE: Untitled) On 23 November, the front page of the Daily Standard in London reported the capture of Oswald for the assassination of Kennedy. (TV: The Cambridge Spy) However, the case never made it to trial (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy) because Oswald was shot and killed by Jack Ruby, who was working for the Central Intelligence Agency, soon afterwards. (PROSE: Untitled)

In 1996, Stevens wrote a book which explained that Oswald was not the assassin after all, revealing that he had used a Time Ring to travel back in time and kill Kennedy himself. Stevens considered him "a man wronged by destiny". (PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy)
