On 21 November, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1963 - The first ever Doctor Who press conference was held to launch the new show. All four lead actors and David Whitaker attended the event at BBC Langham.
- 1963 - Radio Times published an article announcing the debut of Doctor Who. This was the first Doctor Who-related article ever published.
- 1966 - Location filming for The Highlanders concluded at Frensham Ponds. (TCH 9)
- 1980 - Studio filming for The Keeper of Traken took place at BBC Television Centre studio 8. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fourth Doctor)
- 1999 - Recording for Red Dawn took place at The Moat Studios.
