Whilst I love the Council of Geeks YouTube channel and think Vera's a great person (I do have a copy of her kickstarted book, which I love and I really love her videos), my main wonder is if YouTubers who make Doctor Who content are specifically relevant for the purpose of the wiki. Had it been any other YouTuber, I'd ask the same, but just wanted to check if it's something that needs to be on here.

Expansion

Does anyone know of any trans characters in Faction Paradox or one of the more obscure spinoffs? Trying to boost this page a little bit. Thanks. Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived 16:48, February 14, 2020 (UTC)

Wait, are you saying that you have a specific craving to add something, anything, to this one specific page, and, since you can’t think of anything, you have to ask somebody else to tell you what to add, so that you may add it? Combined with this and the fact that so many of particular your recent edits relate in some way to trans people... well... this isn’t an attack on you as a person, you seem like a nice guy and all, and it’s always nice to know that we do have allies when the world seems against us, but... as a trans woman myself... I can’t be help but see you as... a little... obsessed...
It’s like... you ever see the movie Get Out? It’s like that, but for trans people instead of black people. I know you mean well but tbh this is a little weird. 86.187.170.77talk to me 21:36, April 17, 2020 (UTC)
I mean in fairness I do have a kinder theory for why you’re acting like this than ‘obsession with proving how not transphobic you are’, because I know from experience of being that person, but that theory would involve wild speculation about your gender identity and your subconscious and I don’t know you well enough for that. 86.187.170.77talk to me 21:46, April 17, 2020 (UTC)
Ok putting an end to this now. This discussion now has nothing to do with the editing of the article and therefore violates Tardis:Discussion policy. Please refrain from continuing with this thanks Shambala108 21:54, April 17, 2020 (UTC)

Should we, strictly speaking, really have this page?

I thought we only had pages for nouns ‘round these parts. This page openly admits in the very lede it’s for an adjective! I know I certainly would take none too kindly to being called “a transgender”. Or do adjectives get pages now? because if so I haven’t heard of that! NightmareofEden 01:33, November 13, 2020 (UTC)

"A transgender", as meaning "a trans person", is indeed not a thing. However, there is some support for using "transgender" as a noun referring to, if you will, trans-ness — patterned after usage of the regular word "gender". For example, "Transgender is the identity claimed by [X]".
It's not that common, and personally I don't think it's a very elegant turn of phrase. However, it does give us enough wiggle room to retain this page without having to make an exception to our usual "adjectives don't get pages" rule. It's that, or Transgender person, which would be a pain to pipe-switch every time we want to use it. --Scrooge MacDuck 01:40, November 13, 2020 (UTC)
I wouldn't be opposed to merging this page with gender or gender identity given that it is indeed an adjective. Perhaps transgender should redirect to one of those just like homosexuality and the like redirect to sexuality. -- Saxon (✉️) 01:57, November 13, 2020 (UTC)
