When the Twelfth Doctor returned to Gallifrey, having refused to divulge information about the Hybrid, Rassilon ordered a firing squad armed with fusion blasters to execute him. However, all of the firing squad, which included Gastron, deliberately missed the Doctor when they fired, hitting the door of the barn he was standing in front of. (TV: Hell Bent)
During the Cyberiad invasion of Gallifrey, Gallifreyan soldiers led by the General used fusion blasters against the Cybermen to rescue the Doctor. (COMIC: Supremacy of the Cybermen)
