Firing squad
A firing squad was a group of soldiers detailed to shoot a condemned person.
In the War Lords' simulation of World War II, the British Army found the Second Doctor guilty of espionage. Smythe used his spectacles to convince the jury to find them guilty and the Doctor was to be executed by firing squad at dawn. (TV: The War Games)
Rassilon, threatened by the Twelfth Doctor's presence on Gallifrey and still desperate for information on the Hybrid, ordered first troops and then the High Council to make contact with the Doctor. However, the Doctor was only willing to speak directly to Rassilon himself. Eventually, Rassilon was forced out into the Drylands to confront him. Rassilon tried to have a firing squad execute the unarmed Doctor, who ordered him to "get off my planet." However, the squad purposefully missed due to their great respect for the Doctor.
