January

• 1 January - Big Finish Productions announced the casting of Michael Troughton as the Second Doctor, as well as the involvement of Frazer Hines as Jamie McCrimmon, in The Third Doctor Adventures release The Annihilators.
• 1 January - The BBC confirmed the return of the Sea Devils for the Spring special Legend of the Sea Devils.
• 6 January - Big Finish announced that Angela Bruce would be reprising the role of Brigadier Winifred Bambera in the UNIT audio series Brave New World.
• 10 and 13-14 January - Big Finish's Torchwood Soho audio story The Unbegotten was recorded at the Soundhouse and remotely.
• 12, 28 and 31 January - Big Finish's Gallifrey: War Room audio anthology Allegiance was recorded.
• 19 January - Big Finish announced the return of Brigadier Bambera and the Quarks for the UNIT: The New Series audio anthology Agents of the Vulpreen.
• 20 January - The upcoming release of The Collection: Season 22 was announced.
• 28 January - Big Finish announced The Eighth of March audio anthology Protectors of Time.
• 31 January - Big Finish's Torchwood audio story Dead Plates was recorded at the Soundhouse.

February

• 1 February - Big Finish's audio drama anthology The Stuff of Nightmares was recorded.
• 2 February - Big Finish announced the relaunch of the Doctor Who Unbound audio series with The Doctor of War box sets Genesis and Destiny, both starring Colin Baker as an alternative version of the War Doctor.
• 2, 10, 17 and 24 February - Big Finish's The Diary of River Song audio anthology Two Rivers and a Firewall was recorded at the Soundhouse.
• 11 February - Big Finish announced the casting of Stephen Noonan as the First Doctor for The First Doctor Adventures range.
• 14 February - Big Finish's Torchwood audio story Restricted Items Archive Entries 031-049 was recorded at Low Post Ltd.
• 21 February - Big Finish's audio anthology Beyond War Games was recorded.

• 3 May - Big Finish announced the upcoming release of The Audio Novels audiobook The Dead Star, scheduled for release in January 2023.

• 17 July - Big Finish announced on that date's podcast that David Richardson would be stepping down from his position as senior producer and will be succeeded by John Ainsworth.
• 20 July - Composer Segun Akinola announced on his social media platforms that he would be leaving Doctor Who after production of The Power of the Doctor.

• 23 August - Big Finish's Class: The Audio Adventures audio story Secret Diary of a Rhodian Prince was recorded at the Soundhouse.
