The Beverly Hillbillies was an American television sitcom created by Paul Henning. The Beverly Hillbillies was also spun off into comics which were published in Lady Penelope alongside several comics featuring DWU elements. The original televised run of the series spanned from 1962 to 1971.

Crossovers with the DWU

The sole narrative crossover between The Beverly Hillbillies and the Doctor Who universe took place in the TV Century 21 cover story Time Barrier Busted, which made reference both to The Beverly Hillbillies' inclusion in then-upcoming magazine Lady Penelope, going so far as to mention the titular Beverly Hillbillies, as well as to the Lady Penelope comic The Vanishing Ray, which was itself a crossover with the DWU.

Cast and crew connections

Several episodes of the colour seasons of the show were filmed in the United Kingdom due to the popularity of the show overseas, leading to fringe connections between the shows.

In season 6, episode 3, Clampett Castle, Norman Claridge appears as Jenkins.

In season 7, episode 2, Something for the Queen, Brian Peck appears as a chauffeur. In season 7 episode 3, War of the Roses, Sydney Arnold appears as Dumbarton's retainer. In both episodes, Donald Bisset appears as Tetly.

In season 7 episode 4, Coming Through the Rye, Ilona Rodgers appears as Sandra MacGregor. Dave Prowse appears as a Scotsman.
