The Beverly Hillbillies was an American television sitcom created by Paul Henning. The Beverly Hillbillies was also spun off into comics which were published in Lady Penelope alongside several comics featuring DWU elements. The original televised run of the series spanned from 1962 to 1971.

Crossover[[edit] | [edit source]]

TV Century 21 was a real-world comic publication defined by its connections to the works of Century 21 Productions. The magazine was presented as being perpetually in-universe as if it were a newspaper. Since The Daleks was printed in the comic, it was common for short stories to depict characters from shows like Thunderbirds acknowledging the Daleks as existing in-universe, creating some of Doctor Who's earliest legitimate crossovers.

In 1966, Lady Penelope received her own spin-off publication, also presented as an in-universe magazine and often discussed in TV 21. For 13 months, her magazine featured a one-page weekly comic based on The Beverly Hillbillies. As it was with The Daleks, these comics were presented as taking place in the same universe as Lady Penelope's writings.

The only narrative covered by this wiki to reference this is the TV Century 21 cover story Time Barrier Busted [+]Loading...["Time Barrier Busted (short story)"], which briefly mentioned Penelope's plans to investigate "Beverly Hillbillies".
