Battle in Space! was a short story printed in TV Century 21 that contained elements from the Doctor Who universe.
Framed as the front page of an in-universe periodical, the titular article did not actually feature any content about the concurrent The Daleks serial, but did, however, massively tie into the then-ongoing Space War multi-series crossover event which focused on the planet Astra, first mentioned in TV: The Rescue.
Summary
Norrie Kama reports that "at 04.15 hours today" (that being 1 May 2065), space battle cruisers of the solar system's Tenth Space Fleet exchanged fires with spacecrafts belonging to the Astran Empire's Main Fleet.
This leads to an emergency meeting of the World War Council, which orders the mobilisation of all male adults. Various top-of-the-line Earth crafts are readied for action, including the Stingray and Fireball XL5.
