According to the Ninth Doctor, Shogalath was the leader of a peaceful revolt which toppled the Vandos Imperium and inspired billions. One group of Vandosians, exiled by Shogalath's followers, believed him a monster for destroying the Imperium.
Years after Shogalath's death, the rogue Vandosians used quantum runes to divine that his spirit "re-entered the physical plane" in the body of Phil Tyson in Peckham Hospital on 7 January 1979 at 3:50pm. (COMIC: Mr Nobody)
