Drogann was one of three lead vampires on board a coffin ship in the Dark Times, alongside Korsta and one other. He controlled the common vampires on board the ship, but served under Friar Grystok and, by extension, the Three Mad Sisters.
When the Ninth Doctor landed on the coffin ship to rescue the kidnapped Rose Tyler, he and Medicus Androkan were caught by Drogann and his backup. They led to the Doctor and Androkan meeting Grystok, who killed Androkan. They then encountered Rose, who had been turned into a vampire. However, Drogann ignored commands to kill Rose, as they were being attacked by Space Lords of Gallifrey, during which the Doctor escaped with the unconscious Rose. Drogann quickly caught up and battled the Doctor, but, upon receiving more orders from Grystok, chose to kill him instead and spare the Doctor's life.
As the Doctor and a slave vampire called Centia escaped, Drogann used a phial of synthetic blood given by the Doctor to help free the vampires on the ship and later assumed control of its running. The Doctor later explained to Centia that he had reprogrammed their escape ship to take her back to Drogann whenever she wished. (COMIC: Monstrous Beauty)
