On 2 April 2005, following the Dummy Massacre, Ivan responded to Who is Doctor Who?'s request for sightings of the then-missing Rose Tyler, claiming that she looked exactly like a girl in a rare picture of Charles Dickens he had amongst his collection, something which he found rather strange. Ivan further added that the unidentified girl in the photo had been quite a matter a matter of contention, and that the similarity between her and Rose was uncanny, though he ultimately assumed that they were distant relatives.
