Aaron Blinovitch was a Russian temporal physicist on Earth and the author of the book Temporal Mechanics. The Blinovitch Limitation Effect was named for him.
The Third Doctor described him as "a great bear of a man from Russia". When last he heard of him, Blinovitch had been caught in one of his own time experiments. He was regressed to a baby. - After the brief mention of Blinovitch being a member of Faction Paradox in Unnatural History, Ian McIntire wrote a short story called Unlimited that explored Blinovitch's life in the organisation.[1] It was published in the 1999 charity anthology Perfect Timing 2. McIntire would go on to contribute to the Faction Paradox series in The Book of the War.
- In Truth or Consequences, Peter Harness' original draft of The Zygon Inversion, Courtney Woods became a pro-Zygon freedom fighter under the name "Blinovitch". Her character's role in the story was cut in later drafts.[2]
