Theobald, also derisively called Tibbald by Alexander Pope, was a companion of the Ninth Doctor, who travelled alongside Alexander Pope.
The Doctor brought him and Alexander to see a performance of William Shakespeare's Cardenio. Tired of the constant arguing between the Theobald and Pope, the Doctor threatened them with restriction from the TARDIS food machine's supply of viennetta. (PROSE: Double Falsehood)
