Lady Penelope, later known as simply Penelope, was an English publication aimed at girls which printed articles and tie-in comic strips to popular children's series. It was published from 1966 to 1969.
As with its sister magazine TV Century 21, albeit to a lesser extent, each issue was formatted to portray the events therein as happening one hundred years in the future. The capital city of the World Government, Unity City, maintained a recurring presence and Steve Zodiac from Fireball XL5 made a prominent appearance in the Thunderbirds strip printed across July 1967.
For directly continuing storylines and plot threads introduced in TV21 strips which crossed over with The Daleks, some of the magazine's contents is of note to the Doctor Who universe. Additionally, the publication was notable for the reintroductions of several characters and concepts which debuted in the Thunderbirds crossover episode The Man from MI.5, featuring the first televised appearance of the Daleks outside of Doctor Who.
