Commander Fabian was the 25th The Blogs of Doom short story, published in 2019 in Doctor Who Magazine 543. Like other features in the series, it narrated events in the life of a minor Doctor Who TV character before and after their involvement in the Doctor's life.

In this case, the subject of writer Jonathan Morris's attention was Fabian from The Twin Dilemma.

Summary[[edit] | [edit source]]

In a message to the Minister of Space Security, Commander Fabian reiterates that the Sylvest twins are a security risk, and should they be kidnapped by aliens, they'll either be held to ransom or have their genius exploited for nefarious purposes.

In another message Fabian informs the Minister the twins have been abducted in the last two hours, meaning they should still be within range. A first-priority full-scale search with all Interplanetary Pursuit crews has been issues, with Lieutenant Lang as flight leader.

Special Incident Room - Audio Log #2 Elena tells Fabian the freighter must have been modified with warp drive before informing the Commander the pursuit squadron have all been destroyed.

Fabian confirms to the Minister that she has abandoned the rescue mission.

Fabian informs the Minister that the Sylvest twins have been found, and Lang is alive and well and, according to him, 'King of the Planet of the Parrot People." He confirms the rest of the interplanetary pursuit squadron were killed.
