Operation Volcano was the main story published in Doctor Who: The Seventh Doctor, published in 2018. It was the first full-length comic story starring the Seventh Doctor since Cat and Mouse in 2013.

- The Seal of Rassilon appears in the centre of a compass rose in part three.
- In this story, the walls and arches of the TARDIS' yellow control room first seen in The Armageddon Gambit are white instead of golden-brown. Likewise, the time rotor glow blue instead of yellow.
